Bill Bonfanti’s present career all began with a dream inspired by his love for film, starting with his endless fascination of Star Wars at age 2. With aspirations to be in films, Bill went on many auditions from ages 4 to 13 successfully scoring print ads as well as a few roles on basic cable. It wasn’t long before Bill realized that what he really wanted to do next was to write and direct films and he quickly hammered out his first few screenplays. Upon leaving college, Bill’s plan was simple; work on Wall Street for 2 years, save his pay and make his first film a family comedy titled “Relatively Speaking”. However, what was intended to be a 2 year stint, turned into a 13 year journey working his way up the ranks from gopher to VP and trader on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
Fed up with Wall Street and still obsessed with movies, TV and comics, Bill set out to write his first screenplay as an adult, a dark romantic comedy with a murder mystery twist, “Murder in Mind.” In his efforts to bring his film to the big screen, Bill quickly learned firsthand of the difficulties involved in film production and distribution, so he decided to take matters into his own hands. 545 Productions and FilmGo.net were soon created. Evolving from an online indie film festival to its current incarnation, Bill has been channeling his love and expertise of films through writing his blogs, reviews and Box Office Predictions. With a 90% accuracy rate over an 18+ month period, Bill has proven himself to be an expert Box Office Analyst and today finds himself in high demand. Bill’s REEL Movie Review for Real People and Box Office Predictions can be found on his website, FilmGo.net and all over the internet. He further shares his knowledge though a wide array of media ranging from radio and print interviews to public speaking engagements, most recently as a featured speaker at the annual Film Finance Forum in LA. Bill is currently co-host of the CX weekly internet radio show on Box Office Trading as well as his own weekly internet show, Box Office Bang Up.
