Hi.  My name is Bill Bonfanti and I’m the creator of FilmGo Film Fest.  Thank you!  Thank You!!  Ok… enough with the applause… I can’t hear myself think.  First I’d like to introduce you to my partners.  First up, we have the driving force behind 545 Productions and FilmGo, the beautiful, talented, creative Danielle Bonfanti.   Without Danielle’s belief in me and my vision and her giving me a swift kick in the ass from time to time, there would be no FilmGo.  So thanks , Danielle, without you, FilmGo would be nothing more than  a thought floating around my head.  As you may have guessed by now, Danielle is also my lovely wife.  Sorry to disappoint all you ladies out there who are attracted to skinny, bald, film geek dudes who have George Michael beards… but I’m taken.  Unavailable.  Off the market.  I do have a younger brother who’s single however.  Next up we have our brilliant legal mind, Gila Kaplan.  Without her creativity and intelligence, you wouldn’t be reading this blog right now.  Some of you are thinking…. why am I reading this blog?  On a side note, for all you single guys out there, Gila is available.  If you’re interested, you will have to fill out an extensive application and submit to a rigorous screening process that includes a physical examination and some mathematical exercises.   So… now that we’ve all been introduced, let me tell you about FilmGo.

So what is FilmGo?  FilmGo Film Fest is the all day, every day, at home film fest.   FilmGo  was created  to help independent filmmakers reach a whole new audience.  This is great for them and it’s also great for you.   Let’s face it… how often do you get to go to a film festival?  That being said… I’m bringing the festival straight to you.  I’ve handpicked 10 of the best independent films out there for your viewing enjoyment.  Each one of these films are worthy of your time.  I promise.  Best of all, every time you purchase a film on FilmGo, you are supporting the filmmakers.   You become a champion of the arts!  A crusader for the little guy!  People will line up to talk to you at parties!  Well maybe not the last one… but you get the idea.  Seriously though, these filmmakers have put their blood, sweat and tears (and other fluids that shouldn’t be mentioned here) to create films solely for your entertainment.  Give them a try.  You won’t be disappointed.

FilmGo Film Fest is more than just movies.  We are also featuring talented, new independent musicians.  You’ll find their videos, songs and more.  You can also purchase their albums right here at your friendly neighborhood FilmGo.net.  Throw them on your iPod and enjoy.  Speaking of iPods… you know what… I’ll get to that later.  Don’t forget… every time you purchase one of their albums you are supporting these talented musicians.  Once again you become a champion of the arts!  A warrior for indie musicians!  People will still probably not line up to talk to you at parties though.

You can also spend your time at FilmGo by playing movie trivia games, checking out my box office predictions, watching featured clips about the films in our festival, reading the latest entertainment headlines and more.  FilmGo is also interactive.  We want your opinions and views.  Review a movie you’ve watched or album you’ve purchased on our site.  Respond to my blog.  Challenge my opinion with your own.  I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not always right, although I’m right more often than I’m not.  Wow… writing my own blog is making me cocky.  In the far recesses of my mind I can hear Han Solo saying, “that’s great kid, don’t get cocky.”

Some of you are wondering what to expect from my blog.  Some of you really don’t care at all and are still wondering why you are even reading this.   I will be blogging about everything and anything in the entertainment universe.   It might be about a movie I’ve recently watched.  It could be me urging you to buy an album that I think is amazing.  I might ask you to tell me movies you think deserved sequels  and never got them.  Feel free to start commenting on that now if you like.  Come February, I’m sure I’ll be obsessed with Lost again and want to talk about it.  It’s the best show ever!  Feel free to challenge me on that.  Like I said anything and everything.  You’ll just have to wait and see.

So again, Welcome to FilmGo.  I hope you really enjoy the site and… oh wait… iPods!  When you register to become a FREE member of FilmGo.net you are automatically entered into our monthly drawing for a free iPod.  At FilmGo we believe in second chances so we’re going to give you the opportunity to be entered into the monthly drawing again.  You’re going to have to earn it though.  You can accumulate points on our site by purchasing movies, albums, or by simply writing reviews or commenting on my blog.  Once you’ve reached 500 points, we’ll automatically enter you into our next drawing.  You can see the breakdown of the points system under the how FilmGo works tab on the home page.  I believe that’s everything.  Remember… FilmGo is brand new.  We have more exciting things on the way for you to enjoy.  Stay tuned!

Happy viewing,

Bill
