It has recently been announced that Fox has ordered a pilot script for a dramedy about 4 female friends who are werewolves. The show is called Bitches and is written by Michael Dougherty, whose past credits include the atrocious Superman Returns. I’m sorry, but it’s a terrible movie (read my blog Superman Returns… and I wish he didn’t if you need proof as to why it is so bad). Anyway Bitches is said to be a cross of Sex and the City and The Howling and will probably have a dash of the WB’s Charmed thrown in as well. The show is about 4 best friends in New York who turn into werewolves at every full moon and all the inherent problems that entails. Talk about giving new meaning to that time of the month. Charmed succeeded in focusing a show around female witches, but I can’t imagine that this show has any chance of being a hit. I can just see the episode description on my Tivo now.

Listen Fox, I understand that HBO has recently had a hit with its vampire show, True Blood, but you need to fire a silver bullet into Bitches as soon as possible.
