How to Enable Popups

There are potentially several different applications that can prevent popup windows from opening in your browser. The first item to check is the security settings in your web browser. Please follow the instructions below to change the settings in your specific browser.

 

Internet Explorer

  1. Open the browser.
  2. From the Tools menu, click Pop-up Blocker Settings.
  3. In the Address of Web site to allow field, type

www.FilmGO.net

  1. Click Add.
  2. Click Close.

Firefox

  1. Open the browser.
  2. From the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. Click Web Features from the categories in the left-hand column.
  4. Click the Allowed Sites button to the right of Block Popup Windows. You will see the Allowed Sites dialog box. You can add sites from which you would like to allow pop-up windows. For example, you could add the University's Library site.
  5. In the Address of web site field, type

    www.FilmGO.net

  6. Click Allow.
  7. You can use the same steps to add more sites from which you would like to allow pop-up windows. For example, add this one if needed

    FilmGO.net

  8. Click OK when you finish adding the sites you want.
  9. Click OK to close the Options dialog box.

Mozilla 1.7x

  1. Open the browser.
  2. From the Edit menu, click Preferences.
  3. In the left column, double-click Privacy & Security.
  4. Click Popup Windows.
  5. Click in the check box in front of Block unrequested popup windows.
  6. Click Allowed Sites.
  7. In the blank field, type

    www.FilmGO.net

  8. Click OK.
  9. Click OK.

Part 2:  "Blocker" Settings

In order to view the videos available in this site, we recommend disabling your browser's pop-up blocker for the duration of your visit, or configuring it to allow pop-up windows from this site. Instructions are provided below for the most commonly used pop-up blockers.

Google Toolbar on Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP:

  1. In this browser window, click on the blocked button in the Google Toolbar.
  2. It will switch to Site popups allowed.

Yahoo Toolbar on Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP:

  1. In this browser window, click on the blocked pop-up button in the Yahoo Toolbar.
  2. In the drop down menu, click Always Allow Pop-ups From....
  3. In the selection window, select all domains that contain www.FilmGO.net.
  4. Click on the Allow button.
  5. In the confirmation window, click OK to allow pop-ups for the Relationship Manager.

AOL® Toolbar

  1. Click Settings on the AOL toolbar.

  2. Click Pop-Ups in the Essentials tab.

  3. In the Web Pop-Ups tab of the Pop-Up Control Settings window, select Allow Web pop-ups from these sites from the available options.

  4. Enter http://www.filmgo.net and click Add. Click Save.

Pop-Up Stopper

If you have Pop-Up Stopper, an icon will appear in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

  1. To disable the blocker, right-click on the Pop-Up Stopper software icon.

  2. Un-check the checkbox next to Enable pop-up blocking.

  3. You can re-enable the software when you are done using FilmGo.

  Starware Toolbar (for Internet Explorer)

  • To allow popups from Channel, launch a new Internet Explorer browser window and navigate to http://www.FilmGO.net. Once you are on the Channel home page, click on the Popup Blocker button in the Starware Toolbar  . Once you do, the toolbar button will change to indicate that popups will now be allowed from Channel  .

  • To completely disable the popup blocker, click on the arrow next to the Starware logo on the left-hand end of the toolbar. This will display the main menu; select the Preferences... option from the resulting drop-down list. In the message window that appears, uncheck the box to Enable Popup Blocker. Click OK to close the window.

Norton Internet Securities

One of the more common popup blockers now is included in Norton's Internet Security suite.
One of the easiest ways to identify if you have Norton's Internet Security suite is to locate the icon in the system tray (see image below). This is also how you can disable it temporarily.

 To disable it:

1. Right click on the icon
2. Choose Disable from the menu

Internet Explorer Pop-up Blocker on Windows XP (Service Pack 2):

  1. In this browser window, click on Tools in the menu bar.
  2. In the drop down menu, move the mouse over Pop-up Blocker.
  3. In the adjacent menu, click on Pop-up Blocker Settings.
  4. In the Pop-up Blocker Settings window, www.FilmGO.net in the Address of Web site to allow field.
  5. Click the Add button to the right of the field.
  6. Click Close at the bottom of the window.

Firefox (Mozilla Browser) on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X:

  1. In this browser window, click on the options button in the top-right portion of the frame.
  2. An Allowed Sites window will appear .
  3. Enter www.FilmGO.net into the Address of web site: field.
  4. Click Allow.

Netscape 8.1 on Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP:

  1. In this window, Click on the Pop-up Blocker icon in the top-right portion of the frame.
  2. Select Manage pop-ups for current site.
  3. A new window will appear, check the box that says Allow unrequested pop-up windows.
  4. At the bottom of the window select Done.

Safari on Mac OS X:

  1. Click on Safari in the application menu.
  2. In the drop down menu, select and click Block Pop-Up Windows.
